Screenings
All children should be screened for developmental needs before two years of age and ideally two times before five years of age. 

1 Before 2Free developmental screenings for children age birth to five are offered on an on-going basis, including large community screenings in both Sheridan and Buffalo in August.  Families can bring children to these screenings to assess their development in the areas of hearing, speech / language skills, cognitive and adaptive skills, motor functioning, and social / emotional development. 

Staff members provide information and resources to parents as well as further evaluation and services to children indicating a need during screening. 

Last year, we provided over 600 screenings to children in Sheridan and Johnson Counties.
